Rainey Award

The TCAB reception for presentation of the best undergraduate portfolio, which was held end of Spring quarter, went very well. Although the winner, Mr. Rod Duhart, was tipped off by Dr. Smith beforehand, was completely overwhelmed by the award since he didn't know there was cash involved. The other four students who were recognized for their work were also appreciative of the certificates they received as well.

One student said, "If I'd known there was money to be won, I would have worked harder on the portfolio!"

Dr. Smith and Dr. Haimes-Korn moved their students over from class, so we had a great turnout with 22+ students. It was their final class and a fitting closing for them.

Lori Rich did a great job with the refreshments - thanks so much to her for coming early and staying late! Karen Molohon and Tom Burns were on hand to help as well. Special thanks to Jill Casavant for organizing, as well as Dorothy Whisenhunt, Mike Hughes, and Karen Molohon (judges) for making this a significant milestone for these graduating seniors.
