Graduate New Student Orientation and Reception Great Success | ||||||
|
The Technical Communications Advisory hosted a reception and orientation for the new Graduate students in the Information Design and Communication Master’s Program. The reception was held on Tuesday, August 12th and was a huge success. The current Master’s program, which offers several types of degrees and certificates, has 24 new students enrolled this semester. This is a record high for enrollment. The reception featured a get acquainted presentation by Dr. Keith Hopper and faculty introductions. The students each gave a little overview about themselves, their backgrounds, and why they made the decision to enroll in our program. This new student group is a talented, diverse group of individuals with backgrounds in graphic design, multimedia, software development, website design, broadcast journalism, technical writing, education, instructional design, and many other professions. Also attending the event were TCAB Boardmembers and past graduates of the SPSU Master’sprogram. Past graduates shared their words of wisdom and accolades about how much having a Master’s degree from Southern Polytechnic State University has changed their lives and their careers in such positive ways. |
